Readiness quiz

What should you assess first?

Trace Margin research deskSection 08Page 2 of 10Last updated

Choose one bounded workflow and one deployment configuration. Do not combine an inbound receptionist, outbound sales campaign and dental scheduling agent into one score.

Suggested starting scopes for this assessment:

Buyer Candidate workflow Keep outside this initial scope
HVAC, plumbing or electrical operator Routine inbound booking within approved service areas and hours Emergency diagnosis, improvised prices and promises about technician arrival
Dental group Administrative scheduling for specified appointment types and locations Clinical advice, treatment recommendations and unsupported insurance assurances
Mid-market service business Overflow enquiries, approved information and controlled callback capture Unrestricted account changes or unsupported immediate-service promises
Enterprise contact centre One repeatable servicing task with an auditable outcome Whole-contact-centre replacement

These are recommended assessment boundaries, not claims that a particular supplier can perform them.

Before scoring, record:

  • Workflow and intended outcome.
  • Inbound, outbound or both; include any automated callbacks or text follow-ups.
  • Locations, operating hours and supported languages.
  • Systems the agent may read or update.
  • Permitted actions and prohibited actions.
  • Business owner, technical owner and risk approver.
  • Supplier, configuration version and assessment date, if selected.

Use aggregate or redacted evidence. This quiz does not require patient records, payment details or identifiable call recordings.
