A rapid response is worth testing, but it is not a substitute for lawful contact or genuine qualification. Separate answering an inbound caller from placing an automated outbound call after a form submission.
The FCC’s artificial-voice ruling applies to AI-generated voice calls within the TCPA framework. A lead record or submitted telephone number should therefore trigger a consent-scope review, not an assumption that every automated sales call is permitted. (docs.fcc.gov)
Our recommended lead-response workflow is:
- Preserve the source, time and wording associated with the enquiry and any consent.
- Determine the permitted contact purpose and channel.
- Apply suppression, opt-out and campaign controls approved by counsel.
- Ask only the qualification questions needed for the next action.
- Book or transfer against actual availability.
- Record the result and any contact restriction accurately.
Measure qualified, attended appointments or accepted opportunities—not only connection speed or calendar entries.
For a pilot, compare incremental outcomes with the existing process and track false qualification, duplicate records, no-shows, complaints and human clean-up. Do not award the AI credit for every prospect who would have converted through the existing callback process.
