Treat this as a targeted hiring-signal study, not a vacancy census or salary survey. Roles were selected for relevance to US voice-agent procurement, home-services booking, healthcare scheduling, enterprise contact centres and production assurance.
The research prioritises employer job descriptions and applicant-tracking systems. Job boards, industry reporting and practitioner discussions were used for discovery and cross-checking. Undated listings are not assigned invented publication dates, and search-engine crawl dates are not treated as posting dates.
What do the evidence labels mean?
| Label | Meaning | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| R — Rendered primary page | The employer or employer-authored recruitment page displayed the role description when opened | The description and advertised terms were accessible; no application was submitted to test availability |
| P — Primary indexed record | Detailed employer ATS text was available through search, but the live page was JavaScript-limited or otherwise insufficient to verify application status | An advertised role and its stated requirements; not a confirmed current opening |
| J — Job-board copy | Employer job-description text was accessible on a recruitment platform, without direct employer-site confirmation | A useful corroborating record; current availability remains unconfirmed |
| H — Historical/closed | The accessible page explicitly says applications are closed | Evidence of a recently advertised capability, not an open vacancy |
Two checks materially changed the interpretation. Avoca’s indexed Implementation Manager record and its newer CRM Integration Consultant record share the same requisition URL; they should not be counted as two simultaneous openings. PolyAI’s Senior Agent Design Engineer page explicitly states that it is no longer accepting applications. (jobs.ashbyhq.com)
Confidence is highest in the responsibilities and pay wording actually published. It is lower in vacancy status, and substantially lower in any inference about market-wide hiring growth or available customer budgets.
